What to Expect

University of Galway Mystics are the only Galway club in the 2026/27 Domino’s Women’s Division One, and they start at home. Cleveland Rockets are the visitors to the Kingfisher Sports Centre on the University of Galway campus on Saturday 3 October 2026, with a 3:00pm tip-off on the opening weekend of the national league season. Division One is the tier below the Women’s Super League, and the Mystics are the senior women’s side attached to the university club.

Three home dates fall inside the autumn block. After the Rockets on 3 October, Clunetech Kilkenny Stars come to the Kingfisher on Sunday 18 October at 3:00pm. The Halloween weekend fixture moves across the city: the Mystics host Moy Tolka Rovers at Ballinfoile Community Centre on Saturday 31 October at 3:30pm, so check the venue before you set out. Ongar Chasers visit the Kingfisher later in the season on Saturday 28 November at 3:00pm. Away games in the same run take the squad to Templeogue at TUD Tallaght on Saturday 10 October at 4:00pm, Limerick Sport Huskies at Limerick Educate Together on Saturday 24 October at 4:30pm, and Swords Thunder at ALSAA on Saturday 21 November at 3:45pm.

Getting There

The Kingfisher Sports Centre is on the University of Galway campus at Newcastle, west of the city centre and about 25 minutes’ walk from Eyre Square. City buses out the Newcastle Road towards the university and University Hospital Galway stop at the campus, and there is on-campus parking. Ballinfoile Community Centre, used for the 31 October game, is on the north side of the city off the Headford Road, with parking at the centre.
