What to Expect

The Mersey Beatles are from Liverpool and spent a decade as the resident Beatles band at the Cavern Club, clocking up more than 600 shows in the room where the original group made their name. That grounding shows in the detail: the set is played in period order with the right gear and the right arrangements rather than as a general sing-along.

The 2026 production puts particular weight on Revolver, marking the album’s sixtieth anniversary and the band’s 1966 material more broadly, which is the point where the Beatles stopped touring and the records got strange. Around that, the two-hour show tracks the group from the early mop-top singles through to the later experimental work. It plays the Town Hall Theatre main stage for one night at the start of November, presented by RML.

Getting There

Town Hall Theatre is on Courthouse Square at the city end of the Salmon Weir Bridge, five minutes’ walk from Eyre Square along Eglinton Street and Woodquay. Drivers come in on the M6 and N6 from Dublin, Athlone, Ballinasloe and Loughrea, or the M18 and N18 from Limerick, Gort and Ennis. The Cathedral car park across the bridge is the closest large car park, with the Corrib Shopping Centre multi-storey on Eglinton Street as a backup. Ceannt Station, for trains and Bus Éireann coaches, is around ten minutes on foot.
