What to Expect

KATZEYE is a UK tribute act built around the global pop group KATSEYE, and the show is staged as a full concert rather than a covers set. The billing promises the biggest hits with the choreography that goes with them, so the draw here is the routines as much as the songs. Leisureland describe it as a high-energy live production and market it as family-friendly and suitable for fans of all ages, which in practice means a younger crowd than most of the venue’s autumn calendar.

Leisureland’s events centre seats 1,010 and takes 1,200 standing, so it is the biggest indoor room in the city outside a hotel ballroom, and it is the venue Galway uses for touring pop shows that would not fit the Town Hall. The date is the Friday of Halloween weekend, when the city has the Macnas parade and the Gaillimh Ah-Boo! festival running as well. Leisureland do not sell tickets themselves and direct all ticketing questions to the promoter.

Getting There

Leisureland sits on Upper Salthill Road at the western end of the Salthill promenade, about three kilometres from Galway city centre. Drivers reach the city from Dublin and the midlands on the M6 and N6, and from Limerick, Gort and Ennis on the M18 and N18, then follow signs for Salthill along the seafront or the Threadneedle Road. There is a large free car park at the complex, and further on-street parking along the Prom. The 401 city bus runs from Eyre Square out to Salthill and stops close to the door.
