Foróige Annual Volunteer Conference 2026

At The Tower Hotel and Leisure Centre · The Mall, Waterford, Co. Waterford, X91 VXE0

Volunteers at a national youth work conference in Waterford

What to Expect

Foróige brings its annual volunteer conference to the Tower Hotel on The Mall in Waterford over the weekend of Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November 2026. It is a national gathering for the roughly 5,000 people who volunteer with the organisation across Ireland: club leaders, project volunteers, mentors and board members.

The programme mixes interactive sessions and workshops with guest speakers, and it is not all conference room. Friday evening opens with dinner from 6pm to 8pm, and the weekend takes in a table quiz and a live band alongside the formal content. Foróige is Ireland’s largest youth organisation, running clubs, youth cafes, Big Brother Big Sister mentoring and citizenship programmes, and the conference is the point in the year when volunteers from very different corners of that work end up in the same room. The weekend rates include two nights’ accommodation, all meals and the entertainment. A one-day rate is available for anyone who cannot commit to the full weekend, and an unwaged discount of €15 can be applied with the promo code at booking. Places are limited, bookings must be made individually rather than as a group, and free parking is available at the hotel. Cancellations need to reach kathie.odonovan@foroige.ie by Friday 2 October 2026.

Getting There

The Tower Hotel is on The Mall in the centre of Waterford, beside Reginald’s Tower and the Viking Triangle. Plunkett Station is about ten minutes on foot across Rice Bridge, and the Bus Eireann and Local Link stops on the Quay are a couple of minutes away, so delegates travelling by rail or coach from Dublin, Cork, Limerick or Rosslare can walk to the door. Drivers coming in on the N25 should follow signs for the city centre and the Quay. The hotel has free parking on site, which is worth using rather than the metered spaces on The Mall.
