Enniscorthy Men's Shed Open Days

At St John's Community Hospital · Munster Hill, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford

Workbench and hand tools in a community men's shed workshop

What to Expect

Enniscorthy Men’s Shed opens three days a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 3pm, in a space at St John’s Community Hospital on Munster Hill. It is one of the busier sheds in County Wexford in terms of the range of activity on offer, and members can pick and choose what they take part in rather than committing to a fixed programme.

The listed activities cover arts and crafts, bicycle maintenance, buddy bench building, a choral group, classes and talks, gardening and horticulture, health and wellbeing sessions, social outings and woodwork. The buddy bench work is the sort of project sheds are known for locally, with benches built and donated to schools and community groups. The mix of workshop projects and sit-down activities means the shed suits men who want to work with their hands and men who mainly come for the company and the tea break. New members are the point of the movement, and the usual route in is to phone one of the shed contacts and call in on a morning that suits you.
