Dundalk Stadium Horse Racing - Friday

Dundalk Stadium runs a dual horse and greyhound race night on Friday, 6 November 2026, with the first horse race at 6:30pm, on Ireland’s only floodlit all-weather flat track.

What to expect

Dundalk Stadium’s Friday fixtures pair horse racing with greyhound racing on the same card, on the all-weather track under floodlights. Doors open approximately an hour before the first horse race. The stadium runs food and drink packages alongside racing: a Burger N Beer Combo (from €20, including admission, a race card, a burger and a pint or soft drink) and, on Friday fixtures up to 20 November, a sit-down package in The View Restaurant at €65pp. Race cards and full fixture details are published on the stadium’s own website.

Getting there

Dundalk Stadium is at Dowdallshill, on the edge of Dundalk. Bus Eireann and Matthews Coaches both serve Dundalk; Matthews’ drop-off and pick-up point is at the Marshes Shopping Centre, an eight-minute drive or roughly 38 minutes on foot from the stadium. Dundalk’s Clarke railway station is about 11 minutes away by car (around 54 minutes on foot), with local taxis serving the route. By air, Dublin Airport is roughly 54 minutes away, Belfast City Airport about an hour and five minutes, and Belfast International around an hour and 15 minutes.

While you’re in Dundalk

Dundalk is the county town of Louth, a Norman foundation built around a motte where Cú Chulainn is said to have been born, with a working main street and a music venue, the Spirit Store, on the quay.
