At The Helix · DCU, Collins Avenue, Glasnevin, Dublin 9
Only the published dates are confirmed for this programme.
TheatreworX Productions brings CreepyTown, a Halloween themed panto, to The Helix in Glasnevin for a week long run over the October mid term break. It suits families with young children looking for a half term outing, panto regulars who follow the genre year round, and anyone after a spooky but gentle Halloween show rather than a horror night out. Booking opened on 31 August 2026 and the run covers the whole Halloween school break, so there is a good spread of dates and showtimes to pick from.
The show is pitched as family entertainment for a wide age range, mixing dazzling choreography, elaborate costumes and comedy with just enough of a spooky Halloween theme to feel seasonal without being frightening for younger children. Expect the usual panto ingredients - audience participation, a broad comic villain, songs and dance numbers - wrapped around a Halloween setting rather than the traditional Christmas one. Performances run up to three times a day across the week, at 12 noon, 2:30pm and 5pm, with doors opening an hour before each show, which makes it easy to fit around nap times or an afternoon out in Glasnevin.
The Helix is on the DCU campus on Collins Avenue in Glasnevin, Dublin 9. Dublin Bus routes serving DCU stop close to the venue, and there is pay parking on campus. The venue is around 4km north of the city centre, an easy trip by bus or car for a half term outing.
Glasnevin Cemetery and the National Botanic Gardens are both a short trip from the Helix, so families can make a full day of it around a matinee show. There is more to see across Co. Dublin.
