Eatyard’s Oktoberfest takes over The Bernard Shaw’s beer garden in Drumcondra for a month, running across multiple dates from late September into late October with a full Bavarian theme. It suits groups looking for a beer hall night out, anyone who enjoys German food and drink, and regulars at Bernard Shaw’s usual street food and events programme.
Entry includes two drink tokens, good for a stein of German beer or a glass of mulled wine, plus a pretzel on arrival, with non-alcoholic options also available at the bar. The food menu runs to bratwurst in standard and vegan versions, currywurst schnitzel burgers and Bavarian cheese boards, and the entertainment side covers live music, stein holding contests, karaoke and a currywurst spice challenge. Seating is on shared communal beer hall style tables, first come first served, and the event is restricted to over 20s. Private group buyouts of sections of the beer garden can also be arranged directly with the organisers for larger parties.
