Facilitator Roisin Dexter runs Coming Back to Life, a nine-month retreat programme at the Dominican Retreat Centre in Tallaght, meeting one Sunday a month from October 2026 through to June 2027. The programme blends grief work, nature-based practice and spiritual reconnection, drawing on Joanna Macy’s Work That Reconnects framework alongside forest school methods.
Each monthly session runs a full day, from 9:45am to 4:45pm, and the programme as a whole is built around “holding space for each other, deep listening and observation, meeting with grief, crafting with plants, body movement and breathwork, working with fire.” It’s aimed at people processing grief or seeking a more embodied, nature-connected response to environmental and social crises, rather than a conventional talk-based support group.
The group is capped at 12 participants to keep the sessions intimate, and runs on a pay-what-you-can basis of €75, 100 or 125 per month, with a deposit securing the first session and flexible payment for the months that follow. Because it’s a nine-month commitment starting with the October session, joining from the first date is the most straightforward way to follow the full arc of the programme.
