Alpha Ireland’s 2026 conference, themed Fruit That Will Last, brings Christians from across the country to Open Arms Church in Sandyford for a full day of talks and shared meals. Alpha Ireland is the Irish arm of the Alpha Course, a programme that began at Holy Trinity Brompton church in London and has since run in churches worldwide as an introduction to the Christian faith; this particular conference is aimed at people already active in that work rather than newcomers. It suits churchgoers and anyone involved in outreach or mission work rather than a casual visitor.
Doors open at 9am with the programme running from 9:30am to 4:30pm, built around speakers sharing stories of church and community work happening around Ireland, with networking time built in between sessions. Alpha Ireland frames the day around equipping and encouraging Christians for mission work in their own communities rather than as an introductory course, so it suits people already involved in a church rather than newcomers to faith. The ticket price covers breakfast, lunch, refreshments and parking through the day, and the organisers run a Pay It Forward scheme so cost is not meant to be a barrier to attending, with contact details provided for anyone who needs it. The event is aimed at ages 16 and up.
