Tap Classes at Inchicore Community Sports Centre

Inchicore Community Sports Centre hosts a seven-week tap dance course this autumn, split into three levels running back to back on Thursday evenings. It is a straightforward adult class series rather than a one-off event, aimed at anyone from complete beginners to more experienced tap dancers.

What to expect

The course runs for seven consecutive Thursdays from 10 September to 22 October 2026, with three back-to-back classes each week: Beginners Tap from 6 to 7pm, Improvers Tap from 7 to 8pm, and Intermediate/Advanced Tap from 8 to 9pm. The full course costs 90 euro, which covers all seven weeks at whichever level suits, and there is no need for previous dance experience for the beginners class. The centre itself is a straightforward community sports hall rather than a dedicated dance studio, so classes have the informal, no-frills feel of a local class rather than a stage school. Running three levels back to back on the same evening also means a dancer who progresses partway through could realistically step up a level within the same course, rather than waiting for a new term to start.
