The Viewing Project is a two-year, PEACEPLUS-funded arts initiative led by An Grianan Theatre in Letterkenny, running from autumn 2025 to summer 2027 across Donegal and its border regions. Through the second half of 2026 it continues to bring exhibitions, theatre performances and outdoor spectacles to communities in the area.
The project uses theatre, visual arts, writing and professional career development to build connection across Donegal and the border counties, with more than 300 participants involved over its run, from professional and emerging artists to community groups and students. As well as public exhibitions, performances and outdoor spectacles, the project runs workshops, training opportunities and dialogue initiatives aimed at building inclusivity and interconnection across the region, supported by a budget of €200,000 from PEACEPLUS and SEUPB. Because it is an ongoing programme rather than one fixed show, specific dates and venues for individual exhibitions and performances are announced on an ongoing basis through An Grianan’s newsfeed, with recent updates covering summer camps, artist calls and community workshops.
