At Multiple club grounds · Various locations across County Donegal
The Donegal ladies senior football championship runs as two groups of five, with five rounds of games played on consecutive Sunday mornings through August and into early September. Group A holds Moville, Naomh Conaill, An Clochán Liath, Aodh Ruadh and Naomh Muire Íochtar na Rosann. Group B holds St Eunan’s, Naomh Náille, Gleann Fhinne, Gaeil Fhánada and Termon. Round 2 is played on Sunday 16 August 2026.
Round 1 opened on Friday 7 August with Moville putting 7-18 past Naomh Muire Íochtar na Rosann. On the Sunday, An Clochán Liath beat Naomh Conaill 4-16 to 1-5, St Eunan’s beat Naomh Náille 0-15 to 0-3 at O’Donnell Park, and Gleann Fhinne saw off Gaeil Fhánada 5-13 to 2-12 at Páirc Taobhóige. LGFA games in Donegal are played early, most of them between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM, which makes it possible to take one in before a men’s club championship game the same afternoon.
Father Tierney Park is in the centre of Ballyshannon on the N15 and has parking at the ground and on the surrounding streets. Páirc Gearóid O’Gallachóir is at Mountcharles on the N56 just west of Donegal town. The Burn Road in Termon is on the R255 about 20 minutes north of Letterkenny. Moville sits out on the R238 in Inishowen, roughly 45 minutes from Derry. Sunday morning throw-ins mean no useful bus service to any of these grounds, so drive and allow time. Parking is free at all four.
