Donegal Senior B football championship match at a club ground

What to Expect

The Senior B championship is the second-team competition for Donegal’s 16 senior clubs, and it runs alongside the senior championship on the same weekends. Second fifteens, returning club men and the players pushing for a senior jersey all get game time here, and the fixtures are usually staged as curtain-raisers or as the earlier match of a double bill at the same ground. Round 2 falls on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August 2026.

Round 1 left seven clubs on two points apiece. St Eunan’s produced the standout result, beating Aodh Ruadh’s second string by 28 points to 3, while Four Masters put 19 points past Na Cealla Beaga. Termon, Gaoth Dobhair, Ardara, Naomh Columba and Sean Mac Cumhaill also came through their opening games. Naomh Conaill and Na Dúnaibh had yet to play a round 1 fixture going into the weekend. The tie between Cill Chartha and Four Masters at Towney Park was listed as postponed.

Getting There

Ballybofey and Ballyshannon are both on the N15, the main Sligo to Letterkenny road, and both grounds are within walking distance of their town centres. The Burn Road in Termon lies on the R255 north of Letterkenny. Glencolmcille, Downings, Killybegs and Dunfanaghy are all reached from the N56 coast road, and there is no useful public transport to those pitches, so drive and allow extra time on summer weekends. Parking at club grounds is free.
