Donegal All-County Minor Football Championship 2026

At Multiple club grounds · Various locations across County Donegal

Donegal minor football championship match at a club ground

What to Expect

Wednesday 19 August 2026 is the busiest night of the Donegal minor football calendar. Thirteen games are fixed across four divisions, running from the Division 1 Cup semi-finals down to Division 4 quarter-finals, and every one of them throws in at 7:00 PM. The winners of the Division 1 Cup semi-finals go on to a county minor final later in the autumn.

The round follows a full card of All-County Minor Cup ties on Wednesday 12 August. Gaoth Dobhair beat Burt 9-22 to 4-8, Four Masters put 7-18 past Urris, Naomh Muire Íochtar na Rosann beat Naomh Columba 7-16 to 1-16, Naomh Colmcille took Naomh Mhuire Conmhaigh 9-12 to 0-7, and Naomh Conaill and Glenswilly played out the tie of the night, 2-18 to 3-16. St Eunan’s beat Ardara 3-13 to 0-8 at O’Donnell Park. Minor football is free to watch and the pitches are open sideline, so bring a coat rather than expect a stand.

Getting There

Convoy and Lifford host the two Division 1 Cup semi-finals and both are a short run from Letterkenny on the R236 and N14, with free parking at each ground. Father Tierney Park is in the middle of Ballyshannon on the N15, and Tír Chonaill Park is in Donegal town. The northern grounds at Dunfanaghy, Termon and Gaoth Dobhair are reached on the N56. A 7:00 PM throw-in on a Wednesday means no return bus from most of these places, so drive.
