Martin Brennan Cup Hurling - Four Masters v Easkey

At Tír Chonaill Park · Tír Chonaill Park, Donegal Town, Co. Donegal

Hurling match at Tír Chonaill Park in Donegal Town

What to Expect

Hurling in south Donegal is a small but stubborn scene, and Four Masters of Donegal Town are the club carrying it. Rather than play only within the county, they enter the Davis’s Yeats Tavern Martin Brennan Cup, a cross-border competition run with Sligo clubs that gives them regular competitive games. Round 3 brings Easkey to Tír Chonaill Park on Friday 28 August 2026, with a 7:00 PM throw-in and the only home fixture of the group for the Donegal side.

The campaign opened badly. On Wednesday 12 August, Calry/St Joseph’s beat Four Masters 0-19 to 0-3 at Hazelwood in Sligo. Round 2 sends Four Masters to Monsignor Hynes Park to meet St Molaise Gaels on Wednesday 19 August at 7:00 PM before the Easkey game closes out the group. Crowds at Tír Chonaill Park for hurling are small, the sideline is open and unfenced, and a Friday evening under the late-August light is one of the more relaxed ways to watch a GAA game in the county.
