What to Expect

The Parish of Letterkenny, which covers Conwal and Leck, holds public devotions in St Eunan’s Cathedral on Sunday evenings at 7pm during the two traditional devotional months of May and October. The October series begins on Sunday 4 October 2026 and continues on the Sunday evenings that follow through the month. October is kept in the Catholic calendar as the month of the Rosary, and the evening devotions are open to anyone who wants to attend.

St Eunan’s is the cathedral church of the Diocese of Raphoe and the parish keeps a busy devotional week around these seasonal services. Mass in Irish is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month at 10am and a Family Mass on the second Sunday at 10am. Fatima Prayers follow the 10am Mass on the first Saturday of the month. The Legion of Mary meets on Tuesdays after the 10am Mass, the Youth 2000 prayer group on Wednesday evenings at 8pm, the Charismatic prayer group on Thursday evenings at 8pm, and the Medjugorje prayer group every second Wednesday at 8pm. Confessions are heard on Wednesdays at 7.30pm and on Saturdays between 12pm and 1pm.

Getting There

St Eunan’s Cathedral stands on the hill above Letterkenny town centre on Sentry Hill Road, a short walk up from Main Street and the Market Square. Letterkenny is reached from the N56, the N13 from Derry and Bridgend, and the N15 from Ballybofey and the south of the county. There is on street parking around the cathedral and public car parks in the town centre a few minutes’ walk away. Bus Eireann and Local Link services into the Letterkenny bus centre put you within walking distance of the cathedral.
