ATU CAO Information Day, Letterkenny Campus

What to Expect

Atlantic Technological University runs a CAO Information Day on Thursday 27 August 2026 from 11am to 2pm, held simultaneously at ATU Letterkenny in Donegal, ATU Sligo and ATU Galway City on the Dublin Road. It lands in the week when CAO offers are being weighed up, and it is aimed at people who need a conversation rather than a brochure.

Prospective first year students can meet staff from admissions, registration, student services, the students’ union, the tertiary programmes team and recruitment, all in one place. The day is built around three groups in particular: students deciding whether to accept an offer, students who did not get the course they had hoped for and are looking at the available places system, and students who have not applied at all yet and want to know what routes are still open. Parents and guardians are welcome to come along. Registration is required in advance through the ATU events page.

Getting There

The Letterkenny campus is on the Port Road on the eastern side of the town, on the main approach from the N13 and the Derry direction. Coming from the south on the N15 through Ballybofey, follow signs for Letterkenny and then for ATU or the former LYIT. There is parking on campus, though it fills quickly on event days. Letterkenny bus centre is roughly a fifteen minute walk from the campus and is served by Bus Eireann and Local Link routes from across Donegal, Derry and Sligo, with several services stopping on the Port Road itself.
