At Ebrington Square · Derry-Londonderry, County Derry, BT47 6FA
Only the published dates are confirmed for this programme.
The Foyle Pink Run takes place at Ebrington Square, Derry, on Sunday, 18 October 2026, at 11am.
Organised by Cancer Focus NI, this is a 5km run, jog or walk that finishes with participants covered in pink powder, and it is the first time the Pink Run series has come to Ebrington Square. Entry includes a t-shirt, safety glasses and a medal, and the event is open to individuals, workplaces, schools and groups, with dogs welcome too. Funds raised go towards the charity’s North West breast cancer support services, including bra fitting, family support, counselling and support groups, for the roughly 1,510 women diagnosed with breast cancer in Northern Ireland each year.
The run starts at Ebrington Square, on the Waterside bank of the Foyle, reached from the city centre across the Peace Bridge, a 235-metre footbridge that opened in June 2011 and was designed by Wilkinson Eyre. Ebrington Square was formerly a British Army base and is now home to bars, an event space and the Walled City Brewery. By car, Derry is about 1 hour 15 minutes from Belfast on the A6, or around 3 hours from Dublin via the A5 through Tyrone; Translink’s Goldline 212 covers the Belfast route by bus in around 1 hour 50 minutes.
Combine the run with a walk of Derry’s 1.5 km city walls, built 1613-1619 and unbreached in four sieges, or drop into the Tower Museum on the Cityside before heading back across the bridge. More on Derry and the rest of Co. Derry.
