What to Expect

Deirdre O’Kane plays the Spiegeltent on the festival’s closing Friday with All the Rage. O’Kane is one of the most recognisable stand-ups in Ireland, with a career that runs from the club circuit through television presenting and acting into arena-scale touring, and her live work trades on a direct, unsparing take on middle age, family and the state of things generally. All the Rage has been touring Irish theatres and festival tents through 2026 and continues into 2027.

The Fortuna Spiegeltent is a mirrored travelling pavilion pitched on Wexford Quay for the run of the festival, seating the audience close around a small stage. It is a room that rewards a performer who works the crowd rather than a set-piece show. Getting There

The Spiegeltent stands on Wexford Quay on the waterfront in the town centre, a few minutes’ walk from Main Street and the Bullring. O’Hanrahan station on Redmond Square is about ten minutes on foot, served by Irish Rail from Dublin Connolly and Rosslare Europort. By car it is roughly an hour and forty minutes from Dublin on the M11 and N11, and about 45 minutes from Rosslare Europort on the N25. Quayside parking is very limited across festival fortnight, so use the town-centre car parks and allow extra time on the last weekend of October.
