David Nihill brings Taking Tangents to the Moat Theatre on Wednesday 30 September 2026. Nihill has a substantial track record outside Ireland. He won the San Francisco Comedy Competition and was runner-up at the Moth’s US Grand Slam storytelling event, and his specials Documented from 2019 and Cultural Appreciation from 2023 are both on Dry Bar Comedy. He has appeared on TED, at the Netflix is a Joke Festival and on the Late Late Show, and his short-form videos have passed 800 million views. Getting There

Naas is off the M7, about 35 km south-west of Dublin, and signposted from the motorway. The Moat Theatre is on Abbey Road, a short walk from the main street, with town centre car parking nearby. Buses run between Dublin city centre and Naas on weekday evenings, though the last service back is earlier than you might expect for a 10:00 PM finish, so check before travelling. Sallins and Naas railway station on the Dublin Heuston commuter line is roughly 4 km away.
