What to Expect

Crash Ensemble bring Everything is Connected, a new collaborative work by Irish composer Ed Bennett, to Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge on Sunday 13 September 2026. The performance puts Crash players alongside the Nas na Ri Singers and local musicians from a range of backgrounds, so the piece is built partly around the community it is performed in rather than being dropped in fully formed.

The line-up is Kate Ellis on cello, Larissa O’Grady on violin, Leonie Bluett on clarinet, Roddy O’Keeffe on trombone and Barry O’Halpin on electric guitar, with Bennett directing and handling electronics. Bennett was elected to Aosdana in 2024 and The Guardian has described his output as unclassifiable, raw-nerve music of huge energy and imagination. Crash Ensemble have been Ireland’s leading new music group since the 1990s and this kind of touring collaboration is how a lot of their work reaches audiences outside Dublin. Tickets are €18. This is a 7:00 PM start rather than the venue’s usual 8:00 PM.

Getting There

Riverbank Arts Centre is on Main Street in the centre of Newbridge. The town is just off the M7 around 50 km south-west of Dublin and is signposted from the motorway junction, with public car parking a short walk from Main Street. Newbridge railway station is on the Dublin Heuston to Kildare and Waterford line, about 40 minutes from Dublin, and the arts centre is a few minutes’ walk away. Sunday rail and bus services run less frequently than weekdays, so check the timetable for your return.
