Clare U16 Hurling Club Championship 2026 - Quarter-Finals

The knock-out stage of the Clare U16 Hurling Club Championship 2026 begins with quarter-finals on Saturday, 31 October, played at club grounds around the county. Semi-finals follow on Saturday 14 November, and the championship is decided in finals on Saturday 28 November.

What to expect

This is the business end of the underage club season, run by Clare GAA across the county’s hurling clubs. At U16 level the competition sits below minor and senior grades, giving younger players a full campaign of their own rather than folding them straight into adult or minor panels, and clubs typically treat progress through these rounds as a marker of how their underage structures are developing. Exact venues and throw-in times for each round are confirmed closer to the date and published on the Clare GAA fixtures page, as is standard for club championship rounds, since grounds are assigned based on which teams are involved and pitch availability that weekend. Anyone following a specific club is best checking that page or their own club’s channels in the week of each round.

Getting there

Fixtures are played at club grounds across County Clare rather than one central venue - check clare.gaa.ie for the ground assigned to each tie once confirmed.

While you’re in Ennis

Ennis is Clare GAA’s administrative base and the county town, with several of the county’s senior clubs and grounds within a short drive. There is more to see in Ennis and across Co. Clare.
