At The Pavilion, Lisdoonvarna · The Pavilion, Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare
Tractor Fest Lisdoonvarna returns on Sunday 4 October 2026 at the Pavilion, running from 11am to 4pm and billed as a celebration of vintage tractors, cars, motorbikes and farm machinery. It is free for everyone to attend. Vintage runs of this kind are a fixture of the North Clare autumn: restored Fergusons, Zetors, Deutz and Massey Ferguson machines brought out by owners who have spent the year rebuilding them, along with classic cars and bikes.
The date puts it in Lisdoonvarna at the tail end of the Matchmaking Festival month, when the town is already geared up for visitors, and it draws a mix of farming families, machinery enthusiasts and day trippers coming off the Cliffs of Moher and Burren routes. Expect displays, engines running, and the usual run of stalls and food that comes with a village vintage day.
Full details including the assembly point, route and any charity beneficiary are published by the organisers closer to the date, largely through local Facebook pages and Clare FM listings. If you plan to bring a machine rather than just look at them, check with the organisers well in advance.
Lisdoonvarna sits on the N67 in North Clare, about 10 km inland from Doolin and 40 km north-west of Ennis, at the southern edge of the Burren. The town is signposted from the Cliffs of Moher road and from Ballyvaughan on the coast. There is on-street parking in the square and along the main streets, with overflow parking on the approaches for event days. Bus Eireann route 350 links Ennis, Ennistymon, Lisdoonvarna, Doolin, Ballyvaughan and Galway, giving a reasonable daytime service for a Sunday event.
