Keith Barry: Unhinged - 25 Years Inside Your Minds

At glor Irish Music Centre · Causeway Link, Ennis, Co. Clare

Performer on a darkened stage during a mentalism show

What to Expect

Unhinged marks 25 years of Keith Barry performing mentalism, hypnosis and what he calls brain hacking, and the show pulls together the strongest routines from that quarter century alongside new material written for this tour. Barry works as much as a comedian as a magician on stage, using volunteers from the audience, misdirection and suggestion to build a show that depends on the room rather than on props. Because the material is audience-driven, no two nights run exactly the same way, and the Ennis performance will be shaped by whoever puts their hand up on the night.

Barry has appeared widely on television and in film work, but the live show is where the hypnosis and mind control routines are performed at full length rather than cut for a broadcast slot. glor has flagged this run as a final opportunity to catch the show before Barry takes a two-year break from touring, so the Ennis date is not expected to be repeated locally in the near term. The performance takes place in the main auditorium and is a seated show. The venue lists the show under both comedy and theatre, and the tone leans towards comedy throughout rather than straight illusion.
