What to Expect

Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote is an interactive screening of a single episode of the Angela Lansbury series, hosted live by super fan Tim Benzie, and it comes to the George Bernard Shaw Theatre on Friday 6 November 2026. The episode on the night is Paint Me a Murder. Benzie stops, starts and talks over the action, running the room through a race to name the killer before Jessica Fletcher gets there, plus a trivia quiz, guest star clips, prizes and a singalong to the theme tune.

The format has played sold out rooms across the UK, Ireland, the USA and Australia, and had runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. It sits somewhere between a comedy gig, a screening and a pub quiz, and it rewards an audience willing to shout at the screen. Tickets are €23 including the booking fee. The show is rated 16+ and carries a content warning for strong language. It plays the auditorium inside the VISUAL building on the Old Dublin Road.

Getting There

VISUAL is on the Old Dublin Road on the eastern edge of Carlow town, on the grounds beside Carlow College. Dublin is about an hour away on the M9 and the N80 connects the town with Wexford and the midlands. Street parking is available around Old Dublin Road, with the town centre car parks a short walk away. Carlow railway station on Railway Road, on the Dublin Heuston to Waterford line, is roughly 15 minutes on foot, and Bus Eireann services run in from Kilkenny, Waterford and Dublin.
