What to Expect

The Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Senior Football Championship is the top tier of club gaelic football in County Carlow, and the group stage runs through late August at Netwatch Cullen Park in Carlow town. Carlow GAA has scheduled the next block of fixtures as a run of double-headers under lights at the county ground, which is unusual among Leinster counties: rather than spreading senior games across club pitches, Carlow centralises most senior championship football at Cullen Park, so a single trip gets you two games on most nights.

Carlow sits on the M9 motorway roughly an hour from Dublin and 45 minutes from Kilkenny. Carlow railway station, on the Dublin Heuston to Waterford line, is within walking distance, and Bus Eireann serves the town from Dublin, Kilkenny and Waterford. Street parking near the ground fills quickly on double-header nights, so allow extra time.
