Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Carlow Senior Football Championship 2026

At Netwatch Cullen Park · Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow, Co. Carlow

Gaelic football match under lights at Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow

What to Expect

The Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Senior Football Championship is the top tier of club gaelic football in County Carlow, and the group stage runs through late August at Netwatch Cullen Park in Carlow town. Carlow GAA has scheduled the next block of fixtures as a run of double-headers under lights at the county ground, which is unusual among Leinster counties: rather than spreading senior games across club pitches, Carlow centralises most senior championship football at Cullen Park, so a single trip gets you two games on most nights.

The clubs involved in this round are Old Leighlin, Rathvilly, Eire Og, Fenagh, Bagenalstown Gaels, Mount Leinster Rangers, Palatine and Grange. Eire Og are the county’s dominant senior football club and Rathvilly and Palatine have both been regular contenders, so group placings and relegation are usually still live going into the closing rounds. The scheduled fixtures are Old Leighlin v Rathvilly on Thursday 20 August at 8.30pm; Eire Og v Fenagh at 7pm and Bagenalstown Gaels v Mount Leinster Rangers at 8.30pm, both on Friday 21 August; Palatine v Grange on Sunday 23 August at 6.30pm; and Rathvilly v Fenagh on Tuesday 25 August at 8.30pm. All five are down for Netwatch Cullen Park.
