Family 5K Fun Run and Walk for St Lazerian's House, Bagenalstown

At Blake's Pub, Paulstown · Paulstown, Co. Kilkenny (start line), in aid of St Lazerian's House, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow

Runners and walkers setting off on a charity 5K on a village road

What to Expect

A family 5K fun run and walk in aid of St Lazerian’s House in Bagenalstown takes place on Saturday 12 September 2026, starting at 11am from Blake’s Pub in Paulstown. Entry is €20 per person and refreshments and snacks are provided on the day. The organisers stress that all ages and fitness levels are welcome, so the field will be a mix of club runners, families with buggies and people happy to walk the distance and chat.

St Lazerian’s House is a Bagenalstown service supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, and the money raised goes directly to it. The event was flagged in the Bagenalstown parish newsletter, which is the usual way local fundraisers of this size reach households across the three church areas of Bagenalstown, Ballinkillen and Newtown.

The start point at Paulstown sits just over the Kilkenny border, a short drive from Bagenalstown, and the flat roads around the village make for an easy course.
