At Lisnavagh House · Rathvilly, Co. Carlow, R93 PX61
Lisnavagh House at Rathvilly hosts an autumn equinox retreat with Pam Butler from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026. The equinox is the point where daylight and darkness balance and the year tips towards winter, and the retreat is built around that turn: slowing down, drawing in and restorative time rather than a hard physical programme.
The teaching covers mindful movement, breathing work including alternate nostril breathing or nadi shodhana, and hatha yoga. All experience levels are catered for, from complete beginners to long term practitioners. Weekend guests stay in the Stables Courtyard or in the house itself, with full tuition and all meals and refreshments included. There is also a day option: the Saturday programme on 19 September starts at 10am and includes lunch, refreshments and a take home goodie bag.
Lisnavagh is a Victorian house on a working estate in the north of Co. Carlow, with walled gardens and woodland walks, and September is a good month to be in them.
