Fused Glass Winter Landscape is a glass-making workshop at The Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre in Armagh on Saturday, 7 November 2026, from 10am to 3pm.
Glass artist Keith Sheppard of Glass Artistry leads participants through a day of fused glass work, building either one freestanding curved landscape piece, 24cm by 20cm, or two flat landscape pieces, each 24cm by 10cm. Working with a range of coloured glass, Sheppard teaches design techniques, demonstrates the tools used for glass cutting, and shows how to handle glass safely. Participants are welcome to bring along landscape images for inspiration. The finished pieces are not ready to take home on the day: they travel to Sheppard’s studio for firing and come back to the venue for collection one to two weeks later. All tools and materials are provided, though the listing suggests bringing your own safety glasses if you have them, and wearing suitable clothing and flat shoes. Places are limited to eight, and the workshop is suitable for ages 16 and up.
